NEW STUDIES ADDEDTitle: Time-Varying and Static Magnetic Fields in Therapeutic Applications: From Mechanisms to Clinical Results
Location in PEMF Global Library: General folder Published: 2000 Applied Frequencies: 27.12 MHz Conclusion: The analyses presented in this study strongly suggest that, if ion/ligand binding with known kinetics is the EMF sensitive target, any pulsing or static magnetic field may be predictively configured to achieve the correct dosimetry for a physiologically meaningful bioeffect. This may provide part of the basis of a unified theory for weak EMF bioeffects.

NEW STUDIES ADDEDTitle: Epigenetic Modulation of Adult Hippocampal Neurogenesis by Extremely Low-Frequency Electromagnetic Fields
Location in PEMF Global Library: Published: 22 January 2014 Applied Frequencies: 50Hz Available in: iMRS Prime Trial Abstract: Throughout life, adult neurogenesis generates new neurons in the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus that have a critical role in memory formation. Strategies able to stimulate this endogenous process have raised considerable interest because of their potential use to treat neurological disorders entailing cognitive impairment. We previously reported that mice exposed to extremely low-frequency electromagnetic fields (ELFEFs) showed increased hippocampal neurogenesis. Conclusion: Our results unravel the molecular mechanisms underlying the ELFEFs’ ability to improve endogenous neurogenesis, pointing to histone acetylation–related chromatin remodeling as a critical determinant. These findings could pave the way to the development of novel therapeutic approaches in regenerative medicine. NEW STUDIES ADDEDTitle: Electromagnetic fields, such as those from mobile phones, alter regional cerebral blood flow and sleep and waking EEG
Location in PEMF Global Library: Published: 17 July 2002 Applied Frequencies: 900MHz Available in: N/A Abstract: Usage of mobile phones is rapidly increasing, but there is limited data on the possible effects of electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure on brain physiology. We investigated the effect of EMF vs. sham control exposure on waking regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) and on waking and sleep electroencephalogram (EEG) in humans. Conclusion: In Experiment 1, positron emission tomography (PET) scans were taken after unilateral head exposure to 30-min pulse-modulated 900 MHz electromagnetic field (pm-EMF). In Experiment 2, night-time sleep was polysomnographically recorded after EMF exposure. Pulse-modulated EMF exposure increased relative rCBF in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex ipsilateral to exposure. Also, pm-EMF exposure enhanced EEG power in the alpha frequency range prior to sleep onset and in the spindle frequency range during stage 2 sleep. Exposure to EMF without pulse modulation did not enhance power in the waking or sleep EEG. We previously observed EMF effects on the sleep EEG, but the basis for these effects was unknown. The present results show for the first time that (1) pm-EMF alters waking rCBF and (2) pulse modulation of EMF is necessary to induce waking and sleep EEG changes. Pulse-modulated EMF exposure may provide a new, non-invasive method for modifying brain function for experimental, diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. NEW STUDIES ADDEDTitle: Therapeutic potential of electromagnetic fields for tissue engineering and wound healing
Location in PEMF Global Library: Published: 1 August 2014 Applied Frequencies: N/A Available in: N/A Abstract: Ability of electromagnetic fields (EMF) to stimulate cell proliferation and differentiation has attracted the attention of many laboratories specialized in regenerative medicine over the past number of decades. Recent studies have shed light on bio-effects induced by the EMF and how they might be harnessed to help control tissue regeneration and wound healing. Number of recent reports suggest that EMF has a positive impact at different stages of healing. Processes impacted by EMF include, but are not limited to, cell migration and proliferation, expression of growth factors, nitric oxide signalling, cytokine modulation, and more. Conclusion: Taking into account the great clinical potential of EMF, we can expect a rise in new techniques for tissue regeneration and wound healing in close perspective. Such strategy allows combining EMF with various chemical, physical and biological modalities to provide desired synergistic bio-effects and enhanced treatment efficacy. PEMF Global is home to the largest library of PEMF related scientific studies on the internet. It is continually growing and is updated every second Sunday with new studies. *All PEMF Global customers have access to the complete library. If it’s not third party, it’s biased. Third party studies are the only objective, nonbiased way to learn more about the profound benefits of PEMF technology. Finding these studies can be a time consuming and frustrating experience. Lucky for you, we’ve done all the heavy lifting! We have invested countless hours into scouring the internet and finding true, third party, nonbiased research to share with you and the global PEMF community. These studies are in no way related to any specific product or company. They merely share the results and benefits generated by following particular PEMF parameters and protocols in relation to specific test groups, conditions or physiological processes. Please note that any individual trying to recreate the results of a study must do so using their own judgment. Results may vary as the PEMF systems used in third party studies may be similar to, but not necessarily equivalent to the PEMF systems available for home use. Many PEMF systems only offer a single frequency, single waveform and limited intensity range, which makes it nearly impossible to recreate parameters employed in third party research. The Omnium1 offers frequencies in the range of 0.5-28 Hz, 0-120 microTesla and multiple waveforms, allowing users to employ similar parameters to most third party scientific studies. The brand new 2020 iMRS Prime Trial gives users full control of parameters. For the first time ever, users can choose an exact frequency, delivery method (pulses, breaks), intensity and waveform, making it possible to recreate parameters employed in almost any third party scientific study.
